Why do some audiophiles prefer audio research vt100 mkII over vt100 mkIII ???

Posted by ggg on May 30, 2003 at 22:37:11:

From what I have heard the vk100 mkII is more flexible in regards to tube rolling. Does anybody else out there prefer the vk100 mkII to the III. If so, why, thanks. I have heard the vk100 mkII not the III. Also does this apply to the ls25 mk1 vs ls25 mkII. I wish audio research would just design a product right from the beginning and move on to another model, this mk1, mkII, mkIII, etc. just get ridiculous, what's next mkIIIIIII, geez. But their gear does sound good. Thanks, Gerald.
