for the TD 147

I had this turntable for several years in a mid fi system. It originally had an AKG cartridge which was replace to a Sumiko Blue Point. This turntable is a typical suspension style unit with heavy platter. It has a good build quality to it and is heavy in weight. I have read the tonearms on these models is not the best and rings somewhat. I never noticed anything perticular with my copy. It does produce some rumble as my bearings started to wear. Also some floor vibrations of feet did make it skip at times. Thumps could be heard in the low end. Overall the sound quality was decent enough for the price range its in. I haven't heard better players to compare to. The Jubilee version of this turntable is a step up with better bearings.

Product Weakness: Tonearm could be improved
Product Strengths: Excellent build quality and construction
