I've owned the 3.3s for over 4 years. I agree that they need some serious juice and I employ the OCM 500. The quibbles about "it plays loud" is fun. The speaker does the "audiophile stuff" just fine. But, it also does the fun stuff. It plays reallllllllllllllll loud and is a source of realllllll fun. At times I think people get overly involved with the holier than thou attitudes. I suggest pulling out a great powerful recording, dial the preamp wide open and dump all 250 watts per side into the 3.3s. What comes out is nothing short of fun. You get serious SPLs, thunderous bass and clear sound. Does anybody really know when these speakers say "uncle". Just lighten up and have fun. NHT 3.3s allow that to happen.
