for the Ascents
Ascents is a step improvement of SL3. But it doesn't mean you need more expensive amp or electronic electronic to match with. In fact, it is easy driven by smaller amp. The ML have design its newer hyrid generation speaker to match with AV amp in mind. So Ascent can easily perform well with much more wider range of amp. The panel of Ascent has improve a lot better than SL3. Althought it does not use the clear spacer as Prodigy, but it black spacer is more efficient than the old ones. Its woofer is much more responsive than SL3, which in turn better matching with the panel. As usual it feature a -3 db bass switch which help a lot in speaker placement.Lastly, it is much more refine than SL3, and friender to match.
Product Weakness: Still can't be driven well using 300B tude single ended. Speakers still need good low impedance amplifer. Product Strengths: Improvement over SL3, plus easier matching. Better sensitivity(90 db).
