I bought the Offrandes and let them break in for about one hundred hours before I even tried to listen attentively. At first I found them too bright but as I continued to listen and they continued to break in things improved dramtically. Eventually I judged them to be them to be the best I've had in my home. It's not so much that they do some things conspicuously well as that they seem to do everything right and better than their predecessors (except bass). I listen carefully to symphonies and go to a lot of concerts in Symphony Hall (Boston) and string quartet recitals in various venues. These speakers sound more like what I hear in Symphony Hall than anything else and they sound better than most quartet venues I've been in. As just one aspect of their excellence, retrieval of low level information, I am able to hear, as I have not been before, orchestral lines that are being doubled by several insturments at the same pitch. When, say, a cello, bassoon, and horn are playing softly at the same pitch, you can hear them all clearly (some Haydn, for example).

You have to be patient with them but they repay that patience in full. I hadn't fully explored their capabilities before I went overseas but now I am convinced I will hear even more with better equipment. I plan to do a lot of experimentation when I return. Hear them broken in if you can.
