Incredible sounding speaker. Very revealing. Power hungry. If you have a reciever, don't even consider these speakers. You will need a MINIMUM of 300 watts per channel for these monsters. Your amp must be able to perform at very low impedances....down to 1 ohm and below. When given enough power, these bad boys will stand up to anything made today priced under 10 grand. Incredible sound stage and imaging. Highs and midrange is superb. To get world class bass from these beasts, I suggest you bi-amp them with at least a 300 watt amp on the low pass. If you are fortunate enough to supply these bad boys with enough power, you will be set for life, these will be the last speaker you will ever buy. They can be had on the used market from $1300 to $1600. Stunning furniture quality cabinets....a huge factor with the wife acceptance factor. Also you need a minimum of a 400 square foot room for these boys, anything smaller and these speakers are overkill for the room. At 5 feet tall andd 120 pounds, they are pretty imposing. For a smaller room, you will save some money by buying the Kappa 8 model, they are stars in their own right.
