I've had this player for a number of years now. The price actually went down since I bought it and last was found for $200 Canadian before it was dropped. Its a cheaply built player, but the SACD sound quality is quite nice. Its rather smooth and open sounding. I played this on a Luxman LV 103 integrated amp and B&W 602 S2 speakers. The soundstaging is quite good for such a cheap player. It has a smooth quality to it that sounds tubish somewhat. This is on SACDs. CDs are rather flat, but acceptable. Yes this player was only sold in Canada and Europe. It was never available in the US. There have been newer players since this one. I will keep mine until I upgrade to a universal player from Denon- most likely a 3910 replacement.
