for the Power Wing
.....writing a review about this product is easy.it is superbly engineered and constructed and performs as advertised.this review will detail the new version of alan kafton's World Power 'Power wing'.........my first experience with the 'wing' began about a year ago with alan's initial product that used double cryo'd hubble outlets.it was,by far,the best power conditioner i had used in my system.i had previously used richard gray..ps audio..and shunyata conditioners all with varying degrees of improvement in the sound.the 'wing' significantly improved on what their best efforts were.when alan contacted me and said he was upgrading the 'wing' with the oyaide outlets i could not wait to have mine upgraded.i already had installed 2 of the 'xxx' outlets in my dedicated 20 amp circuit and new what a significant difference they made when i plugged the 'wing' and my amp into them.
.....fast forward a few months. after talking with alan about what combination of oyaide outlets,in the 'Power Wing',might be best for my listening preferences ( i chose 4-xxx and 2-dx outlets )i have been using the new version for about 4-5 weeks.what an improvement!!!the noise floor is so silent it is spooky.soundstaging has improved.vocals have become more life-like.dynamics have improved.there is an increased sense of musical nuances and a closer relationship with the music.it has really been fun trying the different combinations of outlet options with my 4 powercords in fine tuning the sound to my specific liking.
.....for those of you that have not read the superb review of this product by danny kaey on the positive-feedback website it makes better reading then this but the bottom line is the same.this passive,6-outlet AC filtration device is a superbly engineered and constructed piece of audio gear that delivers on its' promise.alan...i think..allows in home demos for those interested.this product will improve anyone's system's sound.
Product Weakness: may be expensive for some but probably competes with comparable products costing much more Product Strengths: superb construction and engineering from the creator of the audio dharma cable cooker...ability to customize the 'wing' with ones'choice of the oyaide outlets...delivers on its'promise
