for the Noise Harvester

Well I decided to try these things. No one really wrote that they were really excited about them when I commited to buy them but I could return them if I didn't like them. I felt like they might help a little but my expectations were low. I was stunned as I said in another post. These things were really changing things for the better. I bought three and did not connect them near other noise sources in the house but connected all three to the outlet where my gear is plugged in. I have a Richard Gray 600 there and an audiophile grade extension w/ 4 outlets that feeds my amps and my power plant. So as you can see I was/am already dealing with the issue of cleaning my power......well enough I thought. One of the best if not the best thing this device showed/shows me is how much noise each piece of my gear puts back into the line. So no matter how much I clean it before it gets to my gear, the gear operating is going to put noise back in. Enter the Harvester. Its design is to remove noise (instead of filtering it) and convert it to light: An LED that flashes. (since energy must be converted into another form of energy) A bit gimmicky I thought but it proved to be a great tool. The more noise there was the faster it flashed. As I powered up my system each piece of gear added to the rate of flashing. Anyways it is about sound to me so here is what I heard: a more smooth and complete presentation with a slightly better image. This is what cleaning power should do I guess. I had some vocal silibance on a couple of my favorite recordings which power cords in past upgrades improved. The Harvester did way way better at calming this. It is all but gone now. HF response got smoother, more detailed and whatever other audiophile magazine adjective you prefer. It just got way better. Bass became more defined, not any louder it just became more detailed. This was one of those upgrades that makes you want to listen to your whole collection all over again. The more I listen to them the more I feel I discounted their improvement to my overall stereo image. It helps in all areas. I am very happy with what these do. Someone said put an isolation transformer on each piece of gear.....I think this is cheaper although I would like to have both to see for myself. Thumbs up!
