I am posting this review after 2 months of frustation trying to have somebody taking a look at this step-up transformer. Bought brand new from a audiogon member. The ad says handmade in UK, they should leave the assembly to the Chinese, they do a much better job and for less money. The small transformers were out af a big blob of glue (clips are to expensive i suppose) and banging on the walls inside They were hold only by the wires. Rca female were all looses and the enclosure was sealed with glue not screws. I fix the trans
with tie wraps to tried it and connected it to a tube preamp and a ss preamp same results very loud hum like it needed a ground wire somewhere but these items don't have a ground screw so connect the tonearm ground direct to preamp but with same loud hum. Now if you tried to have somebody to take a look at it, good luck. Everybody seems to have vanished. i finaly founded that it is assembled by Moth group in UK
