for the 47K
For the price I received a clean looking, non-button phono pre-amp that comes with its own AC/DC converter. The AC/DC converter AC side plugs into any normal wall socket, but the DC side has a balance female tip that fits into a balance male socket in the pre-amp. The instructions warn to unplug the converter from the wall socket before unconnecting the balance interconnect. Major adjustments can be made via unscrewing and removing the top panel, but as I wrote before, there are no outer controls. I bought the unit because I was told by the dealer this unit was far beter than its Accurus counterpart. The Aragon 47K was around the same price as with the rest of my turntable equipment: Rega Planar 3 turntable & Grado Sonata cartridge. I am rather pleased but always dreamed of an Audio Research PH3. A good buy, but with Aragon's recent sell off, I don't see this unit in their current catalog.
Product Weakness: inner tunning requires removing top panel Product Strengths: good price to sound ratio
