Well, I can agree with some of your review but as far as the Rotel RB-1090 Amp..... I don't agree with you there, nor does some of the reviews done on the RB-1090.

If the Rotel RB-1090 lacked in any of the bottom end for you, there has to be a problem else where in the system. The Rotel RB-1090 has never been accused of not having excellent bass output. In fact it gets the kind of bass ratings with very controlled, tight, deep, and that most wanted punch and slam. The Rotel RB-1090 puts out tremendous bass output on my system and gives a huge soundstage and a real WOW factor. I'm very happy with the Rotel RB-1090!!!

TAS rated the Rotel RB-1090 as the King in Low Bass, even at low volumes. I also own the Odyssey Stratos Mono Extreme and the Rotel RB-1090 beats the Odyssey Stratos for bass. I wish the Odyssey could deliver the same bass output as the RB-1090! The Odyssey Statos Mono Extreme is just a tad slightly more notch with dynamics and detail.... but just ever so slightly more, not enough to make a real difference of concern. Both Amps are nice but I think the Rotel RB-1090 does an "all around" better job and is very smooth and warm tube-like. Anyone that hears it at my home just falls in love with it and wants one. Happy Music-ing.
