I also have stax sr 3 new(this is the same like sr 5, the membrane a little thinner, but diferences is minor in sound mean).what can i say about theese phones..
I love theese oldies :) why? for the same reason why I love my all audio- it has warmth,live sound. it is clear,but not too clear in mean like new audio-clean,dry sound. one notice- as of because of age all old audio needs replace some things-capasitors,wires,etc. then you get only positive enjoy from music.
