for the hd495
I bought these mostly for listening to my computer and with a discman on the bus for "runout" concerts with the orchestra I play with.
Good sounding headphone for the $. Unfortunately, they are a little too power hungry to be properly driven by a discman. Also, due to the open backed design, they allow too much extaneous noise in to be very good for bus listening. I'll probably eventually look for a good closed back 'phone for the bus.
Decent for home listening with some kind of amp.
Product Weakness: Open back design and power hungry makes them a no-go for walkman in enven semi noisy situations. Product Strengths: Pretty darn good sound

- For bus listening, you have to use noise cancelling ones. (NT) - E 04:24:29 04/29/02 ( 0)
