Sorry, I couldn't get both pictures above so I redid them below....

After wasting a pair of Duracell batteries to be fairly sure that these refurbished headphones were sufficiently rebroken in, I put in a brand new batteries & mounted them directly off both my NAD 522 & my CAL CL-10 to preclude most problems. Initially, I thought that the frequency responxe was banded, but found that this was due to its stock IC cable which virtually vanished when I used a 0.5m AQ Ruby. I found that these headphones are substantially like the HD-580s which are full-frequency & highly-dynamic but slower & less-detailed than the HD-600 demo ( I heard @ SoundCity in Denville NJ was vastly quicker like it had a larger Bl / M ms ratio almost like a good true-ribbon ). Although, the output includes some infrequent snapping & popping ( & crackling if you so desire ) which gets stronger as the batteries or the signals ( w/ distance or physical interference ) weaken.

However, a fair warning is that the infrared output generator jams all remotes. The IC cable must be long ( 1,5meters ) enough away from sources in order to be remotely controlled.
