Supra Cables LoRad is a patented design power cable of high quality, engineering behing it and serious construction. Its not made up of local hardware cable disguised as hi-end or orther non UL approved construction methods.

Contruction:

The cable is made up of three gauge 11 tinned OFC leads tightly twisted at short pitch and screened with foil. This radical design differs from other in the insulation of the ground wire is made up of a "special" insulation that includes a conductive strip. This strip makes contact with the screen eliminating the need if drain wire.

In addition, these cables are approved for their intended use by the CE equivalent of UL.

Sound:

No matter how innovative the design is, the proof is in the sound.

In the past I have tried some ( not many) power cables. Some made a diff., some not. Some had a fattening effect, some a noise lowering effect, some a screeching effect. I am currently using two LoRad power cords terminated with FURUTECH iec and 15A power connectors.

The LoRads have a definite effect in lowering the noise floor, the efect is objective and real. If I place my ear against the speaker drivers the noise comming from the amplifier when no music is playing is noticeable. Also, the music sounds more relaxed, easy, and coherent, fluid and connected.

I had experienced a similar effect when tried a JPS power cable. The JPS however exhibited some dissadvantages the LoRad does not. JPS was stiff, very stiff, and expensive, very expensive. Although it also lowered the noise floor, and provided a relaxed sound, seems the LoRad provides these to a greater extent and without the stiffness and elevated price tag.

Again, a highly recomended sleeper product.

:-)

Product Weakness: Not many dealers, low price puts-off some buyers.
Product Strengths: Inexpensive, nice looking ice blue jacket, lower system noise floor and relaxes the sound. Its flexible and inobtrusive.
