for the Kaptovator

It is my pleasure to give a brief review on the Kaptovator Power Cord by JPS Labs which has been around for a few years. It was well reviewed when it first came on the market, but not in this forum. I bring it to your attention again, because I was astounded how much it improved the performance of my system. Please click on to my system for more details. I was using the JPS Labs Power AC+ before to power my GamuT D-100 MK.3 Amp. This was a very good power cord with a very natural musical presentation. When I switched to the Kaptovator, I was expecting a more subtle improvement, but this was not the case. In my subjective opinion my system's sound went from a solid 8.5 to a 9.5. The sound was more refined. Instruments had more bloom, images were more solid, and delicate overtones were better heard. The sound became more alive. The depth of the sound stage and focusing improved noticably. Highs had more airiness. The bass was more authoritative and articulate. In short any residual electronic haze was removed. I now have a you are there experience most of the time. To put things into perspective my system may have been tweeked to the point it was ripe for the Kaptovator. Your system may not benifit as much as mine. I understand the new JPS Flagship is the Aluminata Power Cord which just may be the best there is.

Please go to the JPS Labs web site for technical details on the Kaptovator. The apparent addition over their excellent Power AC+ is the Kapton insulator which is inert in its effect or no added coloration of its own.

Product Weakness: none for me
Product Strengths: Transparency, very natural, very alive and nonfatiguing. Timber of instruments are marvelous. They sound real to me. Improved depth and focus. Bass is more authoritative and articulate.
