for the Silver Bullet

These RCA's replaced Cardas SRCA's. They were much easier to terminate than the Cardas. The connection though isn't as snug as the spring loaded SRCA. I did like not having to use heatshrink on the Eichman's. The fit is snug with the Eichman, just not rock solid like the Cardas. Sound quality? I noticed the difference immediately. You will not have to strain to hear the differences. It's the easiest change to detect of any tweak I've tried. With the Eichman's the trebel quality improved. I noticed how the high hat shimmers for the first time on an old recording. The bass though seems to have suffered as well as the midrange. It's not as good as the Cardas. Both bass and the midrange are more recessed. Also, it has added a great deal of brightness to my system. I don't know if this is because more information is getting through or it is an effect of the silver. The interconnects that were re-teminated were Lat International IC-200MKII. Though they are a silver/copper cable, I don't find them the least bit bright, rather mellow in fact, with the factory terminations or the Cardas. Adding the Cardas added treble detail and kept the very relaxed sound of the the cable. The Silver bullet though has certainly added more "information" to my system. I use a California Audio Labs Cl-2500 that upsamples DVD and CD. The effect of the upsamplling was always audible. It is now VERY VERY audible. Thankfully, with the upsampling, a lot of the glare is removed from regular cd play back that wasn't as forward before the Eichmanns. My tuner has also taken on a brighter and more treble detailed presentation. Overall, I think the Eichman's are just different but I think I prefer the Cardas. Try them yourself. Perhaps the copper ones are the way to go or these will break in? I have tried them. Theses were used between the amp and the pre/amps and also the tuner and pre/amps

Product Weakness: Added a brightness to the system. Made me extremely aware of how bad CD really sounds.
Product Strengths: Easy to terminate. Well made. Extreme increase in the amount of "information" that is transmitted.
