for the Ultra Helix Gold

After owning and loving a pair of Ernest Farley's Super Helix Gold speaker cables; I finally decided to give in to the upgrade bug and upgrade to a 10ft pair of Clairvoyant Cables Ultra Helix Gold speaker cables. I've been thinking of trying out Ernest's latest gold cables, but have been put off by the huge price increases. I asked Ernest why the big price increase and he told me that his new cables are much more difficult to construct, and also his crystals are also expensive. I thought that to sound fair enough, so I asked if I could trade my Super Helix Gold biwires towards his Ultra Helix Gold's and he gave me 50 percent credit for them which was great. I ordered a 10ft pair with matching jumpers, which arrived about a week later. Upon receiving the cables I immediately noticed how heavy and well constructed the cables were. Not only do these cables look the part;they feel the part as well. If you squeeze the cable with your fingers you can actually feel the fineley crushed crystals through the supple outer cable jacket.These crystals are used to hold the conducts in place, while offering critical damping of vibrations and shielding of EMI. After hooking them up my jaw dropped to the floor. Not only was the sound better than his Super Helix Gold cables; they actually trounced his Super Helix Gold cables. I asked myself how could that be; the Super Helix Gold cables phenomenal. What I heard with the Ultra Helix Gold cables was an increase in top octave air, greater inner detail and space between notes, much deeper bass with greater definition, and these cables are oh so silent. You can hear every micro-detail as plain as day with these cables. I began to go through my ceedee collection just to see if I could hear things that I've never heard before; they are that good, and invite you to listen hours upon hours. Compared to my previous reference cables the Super Helix Gold's; the Ultra Helix Gold's deliver much more meat to the music, which renders the music with a bigger more dynamic presentation along with exceptional transparancy and naturalness. At $1850.00 for a 10ft pair they are not inexpensive, but compared to similarly priced alternatives; they are a steal.

Product Weakness:	a tad heavy and thick so careful attention to routing is a must in tight spaces
