First let me get the disclaimers out of the way; no I don't have any affiliation with Ernest Farley or Clairvoyant Cables, and I did not know Ernest before I purchased his cables, I am just a satisfied customer. Now that we got that out of the way, we can get to the good stuff. Since I was so impressed by Ernest's Super Helix Gold speaker cables, I decided to contact Ernest to see if he had any progress on his gold powercords. Ernest informmed me that his Ultra Helix Gold PC power cord was available and he offered to send me a 2M demo cord to try in my system. Two days later the cord arrived and I was immediately struck by how light-weight and flexible the cord was especially seeing how my reference Gutwire power cord is so stiff and heavy. The fit and finish of these powercords is top notch, and I love how you can see the gold conductors shine throught the black mesh jacket.Peeking at the conductors through the jacket I can see that the conductors are much larger than the conductors in his speaker cables, though still seemingly thin. The conductors look to be around 14awg, but I can't tell for sure.I installed this powercord on my power amplifier to see how it would handle high some current.Sonically this power cord is on the detailed and open side of the spectrum with claity and seperation to spare. This power cord has a very silent background that allows you to hear more of the inner details of the recording. At first I thought that the bass was a bit lean, but I quickly realized that the bass was less bloated and more accurate than what I was used to.I could hear more detail and definition in the bass. With this new found quality of bass I could follow the music better and get more involved into the recording. This cord seemed to open everything up with each note becomming more intelligable and precise. Never did the presentation become aggressive or fatiguing. This powercord reminds me of the Lessloss Signature powercord in how it is very detailed, but not the in your face kind of detail.Spatial qualities such as soundstaging and imaging is absolutely wonderful with this powercord. I am really enjoying this power cord,so far I've had this power cord in my system for two weeks and the jury is still out on if I should replace my reference Gutwire power cord with it. Right now it looks like the Clairvoyant Cables Ultra Helix Gold PC will have an extended stay in my system.

Product Weakness: not really a weakness, but bass is not boomy or bloated and some may not be used to such quality bass.
Product Strengths: flexibility, detail, transparency, spaciousness, dynamics, quality of bass, listenability, low noise
