Here it is after 5 weeks of continuous usage and break-in. I figured it is time to post the review of this power cord on line so here it goes: My two Whales p/c are used to plug into both of my preamp and amp. The general sound characteristics of the WHALE are extremely transparent with a deep black background in soundstage that extends beyond the front wall. The top end is open, fast and so liquid which gives me thrill when listening to acoustical string, specifically Flamenco guitar. Cymbal sound has more touch of air around it that makes so lifelike. At the bottom end, bass can be a bit too much for some speakers or room acoustics? Mine seems to bloat out around lower mid-bass but it does help extend way down to lowest octaves if your speakers do allow. I have owned several brand name cords before but nothing has brought more impact and pleasure when listening to music like the Whale. Granted, I've never tried the so-called hi end or high price cords such as King Viper 2, FIM Gold or NSB Statements but at this price point, the Whale has no peers and will definitely compete with the big guns and give them a run for the money. Not only does BMI produce great power cord cables for the money, it also comes with great customer service as well. Brian has always been courteous, fast and on time delivery. I couldn't be happier with my Whale purchase. Just ordered three more Whales today for my home theater system. Life is good, please hand me the wine...
