for the Bedrock
As with all cables, I often wonder about what differences I can expect to hear, and what my colleague's hear as well. Here's what we both found on these: "yes, I think they are worth the bucks - just a cleaner more spacious sound, individual voicing of instruments easier to hear, and more natural sound on stringed instruments (like cello) for which the harmonics are important in defining the instrument's sound - not as much of a difference on rock or electronic music, but still a definite improvement. Very nice. " Enough said! If they fit the pocket book, it's hard to go wrong with ANY Audioquest cable IMO.
Product Weakness: None come to mind, other than they can be hard to work with - solid core conductors. Product Strengths: Does a number of things right over stranded cables. Construction is excellent. Cosmetics are pleasing as well
