for the AH! AS DIREKT

Have recently been upgrading my home system and interconnects were the last componet to get attention. I had been using mid range Monster cable IC and wanted to upgrade. I researched the various interconnects and became overwhelmed by the choices and prices. I was skeptical of the various claims of different vendors materials and configurations. I was confident that whatever I ended up, with no matter what was claimed, my system as it is was going to have an influence good or bad. I saw these cables at Upscale Audios web site and decided to give them a try. At the price (jsut about the cost of the cables I was currently using) I thought it would be worth a listen. I bought to pair of cables connecting the Jolida and Bryston to the preamp. After several days I noticed a big difference in a clarity and presence over the previous cables. These cables seem very open and neutral. I had emailed Kevin at Upscale Audio that I was pleased with the cables. I noted that I had forgot that I should have ordered three pair of cables because I'm bi-amping the Linn 5140s with the Adcom powering the low freq. of the Linns. I noticed that the low freq. seemed out of control compared to teh rest of the sound. I thought it was the amp until I realized it could be the cables. I got another set of cables for teh Adcom and again after several days the low freqs are with the rest of the music, tight, controlled bass, sweet mids, and airy highs. It all comes into the room, great imaging, wide soundstage. I am not the last authority on cables but I can't see paying more for cables that sound great in my system as it is. I can pay more for possibly subtle improvements but for now I'm going to get the milage out of these cables.
