I once thought my Rotel 951 was by far the best value-for-money cd player currently available. I was thrown into a denouement when I got introduced to the Musical Fidelity's E624 cd player, 24-bit/96KHz, dazzling in simplicity fashion! I got reminded - humans always make mistake.

The E624 has a plethora of near-divine strengths, but the most obvious is Timing such that you'd start tapping your feet the moment your CD or Vinyl spins. At that instant you forget about that inherent "audiophile's egotistic role" of judging the sonic capability of an equipment. Instead you find yourself virtually immersed in music while you reach to the bottom of your CD/Vinyl bin thawing one after the other, in an effort to relieve the musical experience and talents of the musicians who are by now present in your listening room! At $850, this is the cheapest trick yet I know on how to make those singers/musicians stay in your abode - forever!
