for the CDT-1

I bought this about three months ago and have delighted in the sound ever since. I have learned something of the digital world that we live in and was not convinced that something as expensive as a transport would make even the slightest difference. Being proven wrong is bitter sweet. My bank account will take some mending, but at least I have great music to while away quite nights trying to do so.

Mated to the CDT-1 is "The Parts Connection" 2.7 Platinum Edition DAC. It took some doing to get but I am glad of it. The sound is thrilling through my Copland 515 or the X-Cans headphone amp. It provides the DAC with a much better signal than my Pioneer FV-07 DVD player. The music has more bass and detail in the upper end. It also has that quality that I read about in one of the trade magazines, i.e. “does it make you want to tap your toes?” Very much so.

While it is always fun to flesh out a system, now I know its time for the CD collection. There are a lot of labels out there that are taking the extra effort to produce quality music and I’m gunning for them.

Product Weakness: Expensive and has been superceded ; <
Product Strengths: Solidly built. It has Single Ended, Balanced, and Glass outputs
