There are many class D amps in the recent years. Edge G.5 is a gem it often escapes the class D radar. I don't know why there is not much review about this amp. If you are searching for a class D amp, you must give it a try.

I want to share my general impression on class D first and then I will share my experience about Edge G.5 in particular. I tried and owned several class amp (Nuforce Ref 9, Ps Audio HCA, Bel Canto M300). They all are very fine amps. They all shares common characters. They have good damping factor, therefore they all have very good contorl on speakers. Extend on high and low second to none. Transparent, natural and dynamic are their names. In certain extend, they are colorless and characterless. They have tendency to be analytical or sometimes over analytical. In a words, they all present music very well.

Edge G.5 generally shares the good characters of other class D amp. Good control, good extend on extermes, natural and dynamic. Different from other class D, Edge G.5 is liquid smooth. Edge amps are famous for their tube-like character as SS amp. Edge G.5 inherets the "Edge" sound. It has high resolution but still keep the tube-like liquid smooth. Because of its well integration of music, it often draws me more into music more than all other class D I heard.

Product Weakness:	100W only. Not as powerful as many other class D.
