I recall six years ago when I replaced a Goldmund Studio with a Rockport Capella the changes were dramatic due primarily to the active air base integral with the new turntable. Lightning has struck twice here as the Machina Dynamica air base does the same thing for my CD transport. It sets the music free with greater dynamic range, better focus and stage. Image height is greater and textures are more natural, especially in the bass...I heard the improvements at the CES, but it wasn't until I got it home and set up properly that I was able to get the measure of the unit. I would say that those that have found large differences by using such fluids as Optrix on CDs that the changes are a touch greater than that....
Construction is maple and it is built to last....
