I kinda thought that too, so I checked all connections and also tried other records (old stuff and new stuff), which don't have any undue noise at all.
My TT/tonearm does not have VTA adjustment, and I can't really see how it could be a tracking force problem, but I'd certainly be easily disabused of that notion if anyone has similar experience.
It's frustrating to pay $20 for some limited edition disc which sounds like the boys at the pressing factory played frisbee with it!
