Funny. I do not have it on my Scout and have no AS issues at all.

Nor do a number of other Scout owners around here. In fact, at least one bought the AS add on then took it off, preferring the sound without it. The wire twist works fine for me on both my Scout arm wands, one with a Dyna 20XL and the other with a Denon DL-103.
