I heard the Walker at a Stereophile show a couple of years ago, and was astonished at the depth, quality and impact of the bass I heard from the system in which it resided. Of course, one listening in a hotel room in NY does not a real audition make, but it sure got my attention. It seems the only "knock" (and it's not universal, at least I don't think) on the Rockport is in this area: dynamics, deep bass, etc. etc. Probably both are close in terms of tonal purity.Anyway, it sure would be interesting for someone to do a full shoot-out between them, and toss in the SME 30 and a couple of other units for good measure. (Verdier Platine with Schroeder Reference arm, perhaps?)
