...the 721 has an easy to use VTA adjustment...so make sure whatever cartridge you end up with has a line contact stylus, not an eliptical. The experiment with raising and lowering the vta until you dial in just the right balance between 'fullness" and "treble/naturalness". You will get better high frequency reproduction by doing so....BTW, as a past owner of a 721 (and current owner of a 704, its brother; a 601 belt drive; and the original 701....you have one of the four best duals every made. Don't *EVER* sell it.
