I wasn't sure if I remembered her, then I clicked on the YouTube thoughtfully provided. Yup, that's her. The kind of voice one hopes to forget, but it sticks in the memory like a bad dreamI am glad the world holds people who enjoy such variety, but strangely enough, I really don't feel any loss by not having that artist in my humble collection.
Would a record store file the record under female vocalists, variety, or comedy?
For comedy, I go for an old spoken word comedian, Lord Buckley. before mrs. miller . But he spoke in the hipster colloquialisms of the time, so might not transfer well. Gods own drunk is quite a recitation, as is one about driving the car.
