Free speech and open thought is something frowned upon...

Unless we criticize someone else and draw upon hate it isn't a good thought. Of course that is pure and utter BS.

Being open minded is also frowned upon. As if its some sort of crime to not close your mind to alternative explanations for a subject. Whenever we feel we have to accept only what we are spoon fed we do freedom a disservice. Never take only one version of something as the gospel truth. Keep your mind open and question things. It makes for a healthy nation.

I know Steve, have met him and spent time with him in his home listening to music with him. Steve is first class people all the way.

Free speech is American. It is something fought for by many young Americans, many who died to secure this right. Disagreement can be done without argument. In fact it should be something all Americans should do whenever they hear something they take fault with. That is American.

I don't hang out here much anymore. I frequent another forum where many high-end users hang out and many reviewers frequent. These people are open minded, willing to disagree and exchange views on their points of view. All without any need for censorship or whatever else that may have gone on here.

I am not familiar with the particulars of what happened but I know Steve and I trust he had ample reasons to do what he felt was necessary. Perhaps one day I'll have a chance to find out what went on here.

Nonetheless I hope free speech is practiced by everyone whenever they disagree with what goes on. It is American. I also hope people keep an open mind and listen to all points of view before they make any decisions.

These are the things freedom is all about.
