I too think the MKIII is superb...I use it with the 10" JMW arm.....great stuff....the arm was about $1300(www.amusicdirect.com..or www.elusivedisc.com)...more realistic pricing than the $2400 previously, the PLC 4 has dubious merits though..but it did get it too perfect speed....hard to tell if any thing more than a SUBTLE sound improvement...the JMW certainly sounds better than the AQ-PT-7, very obvious improvement in the BASS and midrange smoothness and seperation of the detail.....BUT...my new DAC from AVA www.avahifi.com, beats it all hands down!!!, finally digital sounding as smooth and natural as the LP..without the flippin' of lp's...it's the new OMEGA IV DAC.....will never get rid of LP's though, they are still great!
