the 'starling stomp' was a move intended by marlon to distract his opponent. he would literally stomp the ring with his foot and then leap in with punches. not as cool as kid gavilans bolo punch or aaron pryors 'hawking' of his opponent before the bell signaled the beginning of the round but it was original.
