Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |
|
After reading through all the threads on the crystal tweaks, and discovering that the Shakti Stones that I've been using for years, also use crystals, I decided to head on down to the local rock shop.
I took it slow, and bought a combination of amethyst, rose quartz, and tourmaline, totaling $31. As soon as I pulled into the garage, and saw the breaker box, I decided to start there. I duct tapped
the bag so it hung over the basement breakers, and headed downstairs to do some listening. To tell you the truth, even though I know the Shakti Stones made an improvemnet in my system,
I didn't expect to hear much. Now adjusting for audiophile speak... I was quite flabbergasted by what I heard! Soundstage height, width, and depth, were vastly improved, along with increased
liquidity, and a much blacker background. I immediately removed the bag and listened again. What I heard sounded good, but with a shrunken and move congested soundstage, and a definite loss
in liquidity and low level detail. I replaced the bag and the goosebumps returned. Back to the rock shop I go.
