from what I've read, the supplied marker isn't so hot. Those that love the machine thought the marker was murky sounding. I plan on using my Auric Illuminator marker. I'm looking forward to delivery of mine from Fat-Wyre especially now after your review.I love honing the sound. I bought air-dielectric Ag-ribbon cabling to do just that on my Maggies. The only exception would be the Audio-Magic Illusion digital cable, because it's capacitance seemed to remove a lot of digital hash. I don't know whether it was standing-waves or jitter, but it went away without appreciably veiling the sound IMHO. With a decent HDCD, the sound is almost analog.
....just my 2¢
