I have been playing with the op amp in my Magnum Dynalab FT-101.
I removed the factory op amp, soldered in an 8 pin socket and have been swapping a few. So far I really like the LM 358p. It's a Burr Brown/TI.
I really like its openess, with very clean, crisp highs. I also think the lower end is tighter more controlled. Mids are airy... vocals are more breathy and live.Anyone else have an opinion?
I really love this tuner, but am uninterested in the expense of a factory upgrade. I did the IEC plug years ago and a few other tweaks for like $20. The thousands of $$ seems pricey. Afterall, dont they replace something like a foot of wire, and swap the "stereo" LED for for $500?I'll enjoy anyone elses experiences
