Agreed, generally speaking. I've got a lot of T7s, including TFKs, Mullards and many older U.S. makes, including a few triple mica Sylvanias from the mid-1950s that are simply outstanding. The TFK is a relatively refined, if laid back, specimen of this type, but I find the Siemens from the same period (1958-1964) a better tube: equally refined tonally, yet more dynamic in a positive sense.
