Excellent review. You have captured the essence of the ELS-3 perfectly, and your comparisons are sound. I happen to own Dynaudio Audience 42s after having lived with the Tannoy Mercury M2 for several years, and I understand the differences between supposed "giant killer" loudspeakers, and their more expensive brethren. The Tannoy, for example, sounds okay, but become fatiguing after a few hours. This never happens when listening to the Dynaudio.
