It'd work...I was using a SS Class A Forte 4a with an Audible Illusions 2C preamp before the CJ MV75A1, and the sound was really quite good...this amp is a very good match with the 12's.
In fact, the bass was tighter, and kickdrums had more punch with the Forte, but the magic of the CJ is in the all important midrange. Once I heard how female voices and strings sounded with the MV75A1, there was no hope for me.
