Hi guys. To answer: The bass is hard to judge because I have always used a sub with my 3.6's. I do not really hear a difference but I have only been listening for a couple of days. Concerning the power issue remember I am in a small room (15'x12') so I never felt I had power problems with my VTL. However on loud complex symphonic passages I feel the greater control the Raptors offer is definitely a positive. My biggest surprise has been in two areas where I have always felt tube amps reign supreme. Low level resolution and reproduction of the harmonic structure of music. This amp does these things better than any tube or ss amp I have ever had, and I have had a lot. Also reproduction of high frequencies is magic.
