Although I love my Maggies (3.6R's), I don't think the smaller Maggies would be suited for your rather large room. Also, I don't think your tube amp would provide enough power to drive any of the Maggies in that large room. - If you can get some on loan to listen to, and you like them, then that's great. Otherwise, either look for some more efficient speakers, or get a larger amp.

I think some of the larger Maggies such as the 3.6R's would sound great in your room (I'm assuming it is OK acoustically) provided you have a fairly powerful SS amp. I also think that you would probably want to incorporate a decent subwoofer.
