I had a different experience with the CLSIIz. I played them too loudly and damaged a panel. This was within a year of purchasing new.
They can be a tough impedance to drive, very low, and they should not be pushed. They are not a full range design as the other poster has affirmed (few speakers are, actually) so woofers/sub-woofers would be required.
Again, IME/IMO, the curvilinear technology, in an effort to widen the soundstage/sweet spot, creates a sound, that when played loudly, tends to glare. I owned 2 other M-L models as well. But there are differing opinions over on the Martin-Logan owners site. That would be a good place to go for more information.
If I didn't like to play music peaking into the low 90+ db range (and rarely, beyond), they would probably have satisfied me. Perhaps your requirements are such that they would make a good match in your system. Buy used (the only way for this model) and if you don't like them you could probably get your money back upon resale.
