There was an interesting video or a praying mantis devouring a hornet... while being devoured itself by another hornet.
That second hornet was cutting through the narrow waist of the mantis, and eventually separated the larger bug from its bottom end.
Interestingly, the mantis apparently had no concern at all regarding what was happening down there - it was way too busy with his food.
I wonder, if its nerve system sends no pain signal?
