...it's kind of funny that you mention the similarities of the engines--since I just sold my 2015 458 Speciale when I bought the 360 Spider. I had it before I bought the Testarossa and the Ford GT, and after I purchased them, it became "less-favored". One hell of a car--don't get me wrong, but too much techno-wizardry. I prefer a real stick (even though the DCT is incredible), and I have an aversion to touch-screens for everything. I like a DIY gearbox, and manual controls that just fall to hand. The Testarossa doesn't even have power steering or ABS.
It helped "motivate" me to sell when someone tracked me down and offered me almost $100K more than I had paid for it two years previously. It was an extremely rare color/option car--apparently a custom-order. I was the second owner, but the first owner spec'd the car to be different than most. So the profit alone from the sale nearly paid for the cost of the 360 Spider.
I love the 2005 GT. I've seen/heard (but not driven) one of the new ones, but really not all that interested in that TT V-6 drivetrain. I've driven one of the new C8 Vettes (Z51 performance package), and it is impressive for the money. Even with the full ($4800) carbon-fiber trim package it still has some of the standard GM cheap plastic trim interior issues. Like you, waiting on a ZO6--last Vette I owned was a 2016 ZO6.
