You guys don't have yearly inspections, so you can probably keep a winter rat for a long time.
I've got an '02 Sierra that runs great, but if the place where I get it inspected at shuts down this fall, I am going to start running it only at night & in the winter. Yearly inspections can be like legalized robbery if you can't find the right shop.
