So, I don't think it's that.

And it's not seasonal.

I think it may well be the sensor.

All four of us now agree that it is 'shutting itself off' mostly,
(for quite a while, as well!) -

instead of 'finishing a cycle' ever at all!

Against prior expectations of this item! Still new looking but old enough that it's had some bits replaced.
