I don't recall any Nagaoka design that included the squashed taurus mounting flange for the driver, except Terry's. That particular feature seems specific to his products. The construction of the horn, with the freq damping steps is the contribution of Nagaoka AFAIK.
The face ring is Terry's addition to the original. If I have mistaken it, please correct me on this.
Then we can discuss design processes and the challenge of creativity in making something new utilizing old concepts or principles. If I paint a figure, will it look like Picasso, Matisse or daVinci? If it does, is it relevant vital and original? How do I make it mine, specific to my experience and understanding....and not a mere copy of someone elses work?
