I was thinking more along the lines of solo piano or small ensemble recordings that feature piano (mostly, jazz and classical). These are the types of piano recordings that my two-channel stereo system handles very well.Piano music in an orchestral setting might be better served by a multi-channel speaker system that allowed for some reduction of center-channel volume, since it seems that many of my two-channel orchestral recordings that feature a piano soloist tend to spotlight the piano in the center of the mix to an unnerving degree.
